Michigan Gas Utilities (MGU) crews are continuing to restore natural gas service to customers in Allegan County who lost service last week when the natural gas transmission pipeline line that serves MGU was damaged.
Customers without service should call 800-401-6402 to schedule a time for a work crew to restore service and relight appliances.
Utility crews from across the Midwest worked for days, going door to door across the county, to restore service to thousands of customers.
MGU is keeping extra crews in the area this week to help restore service to the remaining customers as quickly and safely as possible.
Customers who do not live full time in Allegan County or who are not regularly available are asked to work with a trusted neighbor or family member over the age of 18 to let our crews access the home to restore service and relight appliances.
