Michigan Gas Utilities (MGU) employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why this quarter, employees chose to donate $2,500 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan.
The donation is part of MGU’s Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution toward one of several charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.
Following the 3rd quarter of 2025, MGU employees selected the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan, which provides fun, safe after-school spaces for children and young adults. The nonprofit organization offers members the chance to participate in extracurricular activities, provides academic tutoring to assist students, helps teenagers begin developing career skills, and helps children maintain healthy lifestyles. In 2024, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan’s programming and staff supported more than 3,300 children and young adults.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan is one of dozens of nonprofit organizations MGU supports every year.
