Michigan Gas Utilities (MGU) employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why this summer, employees chose to donate $2,500 to Make-A-Wish Michigan.
The donation is part of MGU’s Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution toward one of several charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.
After meeting their first-quarter safety goals, MGU employees selected Make-A-Wish Michigan, a nonprofit organization that works to provide unforgettable experiences to children facing critical illnesses. The organization assists families by bringing their child’s dreams to life, making wishes such as being a firefighter, creating a fun-filled playhouse or flying on an airplane to a theme park happen each year. Since 1984, Make-A-Wish Michigan has granted more than 12,000 wishes to children across the state.
Make-A-Wish Michigan is one of dozens of nonprofit organizations MGU is proud to support every year.
