Michigan Gas Utilities employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why employees chose to donate $2,500 this quarter to Special Olympics Michigan.
The donation is part of Michigan Gas Utilities’ Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution toward one of several charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.
This fall, they selected Special Olympics Michigan, which provides athletic training and competition opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. The nonprofit organization gives its athletes the chance to take part in 24 different sports and provides opportunities to compete in local, state and national events. Each year, Special Olympics Michigan helps thousands of children and adults with disabilities play sports at no cost to the athletes.
Special Olympics Michigan is one of dozens of nonprofit organizations Michigan Gas Utilities is proud to support every year.
