Michigan Gas Utilities (MGU) employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why this fall, employees chose to donate $2,500 to Talons Out Honor Flight.
The donation is part of the MGU Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution toward one of several charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.
This fall, they selected Talons Out Honor Flight, a nonprofit organization that flies veterans from southern Michigan to visit the memorials in their honor in Washington, D.C. Talons Out Honor Flight provides the one-day trip at no cost to veterans, with a focus on supporting those who served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The organization has completed more than 25 trips to Washington, D.C., helping hundreds of local veterans see their memorials.
Talons Out Honor Flight is one of dozens of nonprofit organizations MGU is proud to support every year.
