Michigan Gas Utilities (MGU) employees care deeply about the communities where they live and serve. That’s why this summer, employees chose to donate $2,500 to Talons Out Honor Flight.

The donation is part of MGU’s Safety Charity Challenge, a companywide program to encourage employees to live and work safely while positively impacting their local communities. Employees have the opportunity to direct a contribution toward one of several charities at the end of each quarter when safety goals are met.

This summer, MGU employees chose to donate to Talons Out Honor Flight after meeting their safety goals in the first quarter. Talons Out Honor Flight is a nonprofit organization that helps fly southern Michigan veterans to Washington, D.C. for one day, all expenses paid, to see the armed forces landmarks and memorials built in honor of their service. Talons Out Honor Flight will fly its 29th group of veterans to see the memorials on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Talons Out Honor Flight is one of dozens of nonprofits MGU is proud to support every year.
